flavours.. The Moroccan Soup Bar

Last night a few friends and I visited the Moroccan Soup Bar on St Georges Road in North Fitzroy.  I had heard rave reviews and I must say that it did not disappoint.  For a mere $20.00 each we shared an entree of bread and dips, five different and all equally delicious mains, followed by coffee and dessert.  Value for money is not the only thing that will keep me going back though.  Delightful flavours and I was left satisfied but not with that icky feeling you sometimes get from eating too much Indian or Chinese.

Please visit the Moroccan Soup Bar, you're truly missing out if you don't.

pad thai... Tom Phat

One of the best pad thais I have eaten since I moved to Melbourne is at this funky, modern restaurant on Sydney Road in Brunswick... and I've eaten a lot of pad thai in my twenty-three years.

Their roti bread is fresh, their service is impeccable and the atmosphere makes it one of my favourite places to take friends.  Also you can make many of the meals vegetarian or even vegan, that's just how lovely the Tom Phat folk are.

One of my first and fondest memories of living in Melbourne is buying a cup of Caramel Pear Sorbet from Trampoline on Acland Street and sitting in the 9pm sun on St Kilda beach with my darling brothers.

Delightfully wicked treats these tiny cupcakes are.  The Witchery girls and I indulge far too often with our favourite being Red Velvet.

But seriously... who could resist these eeny teeny tiny delectably delicious treats?

Not me.  

You shouldn't either so go buy yourself something scrumptious at either their Degraves Street store or the one on Goldsbrough Lane.

Possibly one of the cutest boutiques in Melbourne, Monk House Design specialises in independent, locally designed fashion, accessories, jewellery, art and home wares.  They stock one of my favourite designers, Melissa, and if I can control my spending for the next couple of weeks I'll definitely be dropping in to pick up a pair of these for summer.

I highly recommend you pop in and check them out at 102 Lygon Street, East Brunswick.
